W Panama launches two innovative gastronomic proposals

The W Panama hotel launches two attractive gastronomic proposals in order to offer the local and foreign public sensory and disruptive experiences, which aim to please the most demanding palates and, at the same time, provide entertainment according to the new demands in terms of hygiene and distancing

The first one is RITUALS by Moró on May 20 at 7 p.m. at the Moró restaurant. It is a four-course dinner paired with the best wineries, such as Hennessy, Terrazas Altos del Plata Chardonnay, Terrazas Reserva Malbec and Moet Nectar Imperial. In charge of this evening will be Bruno Bellocchio, executive chef of the hotel, and sommelier Basilio Barros, as well as a DJ and a live saxophonist in terms of entertainment.

Dinner will begin with a sweet potato lolipop and smoked bacon nigiri, followed by a tataki of tuna and grilled salmon, citrus peel and asparagus foam as a starter. The main course is slow cooker boneless BBQ ribs, roasted sweet peppers and bouchon potatoes. It will close with a flourish with a palette of cheese mousse with passion fruit icing and toasted sponge cake crumbs. “RITUALS is a glimpse of what is coming, very soon, in our Moró restaurant. We take eating so seriously that we see it as a ritual that must be well cured and refined for flavors of both food and drink. I hope that the public can join us, have fun and enjoy the menu that we have prepared with so much love for this first edition of RITUALS, with an interesting combination of flavors, textures and techniques ”, said Bellocchio. On the other hand, the Night Brunch arrives in Panama, a proposal that has conquered Bogotá, Colombia for its innovation, entertainment and variety.

The W Panama Night Brunch will celebrate its first edition in the hotel lobby on Friday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at 9:30 p.m.

On this occasion, the public will be able to enjoy an assisted urban food style buffet, with live cooking stations, as well as unlimited selected cocktails and live music from a DJ. In addition, there will be promotion on craft and sparkling beers. “Respecting the biosafety guidelines, W Panama looks for an alternative so that the local market can have fun and have a good time.

This concept of Night Brunch, born in our sister hotel the W Bogota, breaks the rules of traditional brunch and seeks to be the spot where weekends level up.

With a live DJ, unlimited cocktails and a spectacular all you can eat, this option sets itself apart from others on the market and you will want to come back, ”said Luciana Regidor, marketing manager for W Panama.

In order to keep social distancing, these activities will have limited capacity, so those interested in attending should reserve at 6220 9891. The Night Brunch will be held every 2 times a month, while RITUALS will take place every month.

Thomas validated the biosecurity measures presented by Apatel while suggesting that the Panamanian State design an international campaign in which they detail their scope and their application.

Jaime Pons, from the Hotel Playa Blanca Resort, in Farallon, Cocle province, stated that one of the greatest strengths that clients value are the levels of cleanliness and hygiene that are offered.

He added that they have carried out a series of additional measures to reinforce the disinfection processes in all their rooms, among which are Check In and Check Out, common areas, food and beverages, control and verification processes, among others.

For the president of the union, Armando Rodriguez, the protocols complement the work that the union has been doing for the benefit of its 125 associates, which include 3 training cycles, in order to prepare the hotels towards the new normal.

It highlights that the important thing is that Apatel member hotels have redirected their actions to these biosecurity measures, although it also recognized that this sector is one of the segments of the economy that has suffered the most in the crisis caused by the COVID'19 pandemic , it is probable that 30% of the businesses are not prepared to reopen their doors next October.

The tourism sector of Panama represented a contribution of 4 thousand 400 million balboas to the Gross Domestic Product of the country in 2019. According to estimates, about 100,000 Panamanian families depend, directly and indirectly on the sector.
