The luxury traveler is a segment of tourism that seeks lodging alternatives that provide innovation, exclusivity, contact with nature, design and comfort. That is why the Hotel Nayara Bocas del Toro, located in Panama, recently incorporated an innovative room concept called "Tree Houses", which mixes luxury, nature and comfort in its design.

Hotels around the world invest in the construction of rooms that respond to the trends of this population, in order to provide them with a lodging experience that captivates the most demanding tourist, hence the Hotel Nayara Bocas del Toro is located at the vanguard of luxury tourism.

Constanza Navarro, Commercial Director of the Hotel explains that "today's traveler seeks more privacy and an experience, more than just rest. That is why our impressive Tree Houses built in bamboo and wood by the famous designer Elora Hardy will transport you to another realm.

"Two rooms, out of five that are planned, were built, which have a height of about 15 meters (fifty feet), where the person will feel like they are on top of the world and will experience a sense of wonder to be able to see the nature of the island in the foreground and so close. Each one of them has three floors and has an innovative design”, added Navarro.

Inspiration and Design

The rooms are surrounded by exuberant vegetation, which allows the visitor to have the possibility of having a closer contact with nature and enjoy the benefits that it offers to the guests.

In addition, each Tree House has a whimsical and ethereal design with large windows to take advantage of sunlight; as well as they are made of materials such as bamboo and partially petrified hardwoods, the latter of which were pieces that were used in the construction of the Panama Canal and that were recovered from the bottom of it.

Regarding the decoration, wooden furniture was used and the decorative items have neutral tones and some with colored details, to offer its guests an atmosphere of tranquility, harmony, peace and away from the world.

In relation to the distribution of the room, the lower part of the Tree Houses was designed so that the guest welcomes nature with a garden that overlooks the majestic mangrove swamp. On this level there is a staircase that leads to the bedroom located on the first floor.

On the first floor is the bedroom, a closet area, an internal bathroom and an outdoor tub and shower, where the Javanese tubs are made of hand-hammered copper.

The main piece in this sector of the Tree houses is made up of a huge bed with a backrest made of Balinese bamboo with copper details. What invites the guest to rest and enjoy the view to the outside, from this point of the room.

On the second floor, there is a living room, which has a lounge area, a dining room and a bar.

Finally, the design of these rooms at the Hotel Nayara Bocas del Toro, was thought to give each guest natural, private and exclusive luxury for their rest.
