Panama recomposes its air connectivity with Europe
Air Europa will fly back to Panama from next July 20
Air Europa will resume from next July 20 its flights to Panama, inaugurated in 2019, with two weekly frequencies (Tuesday and Sunday), Promtur Panama reported this Thursday, after the signing within the framework of FITUR of an agreement with the airline to contribute to the promotion and international projection of the country. Earlier, Iberia announced that it will also double its flights from Madrid to Panama from July.
The Spanish company Air Europa in its objective of gradually resuming its connectivity, will return to the Panamanian country on board its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner fleet, with a capacity for 296 passengers (22 of them in business class).
The schedule of the flights, departing from Madrid at 15.15 hours and arriving in Panama at 18.50 local time, also guarantees on your return to Spain a quick connection with the national and European destinations where Air Europa operates.
According to the CEO of Air Europa, Valentín Lago, the resumption of operations will strengthen the position of Panama as a tourist destination and will help ratify the potential of Tocumen Airport as the hub of the Americas.
Earlier, Iberia and the tourism and promotion authorities of Panama had announced that from July 5 Iberia will double flights between Madrid and Panama City-they will go from three to six weekly. See: Panama and Iberia team up for promotion in Europe
The airline began this Wednesday 19 the use in this route of the digital passport system IATA Travel Pass to control the health status of each passenger.
